There is nothing better than failure in this world. Because, if you look at it from the right angle, it can be a life-changing lesson. I can proudly say that I have had my fair share of failure in life. Only 3 years ago, I had a world of dreams that I wanted to accomplish. I set goals for every week of my life for the next 5 years. I wanted to do this, I wanted to that, I wanted to have travelled the world by the time I was 25.Some things went to plan, but most didn’t. In fact, 95% of what I had planned didn’t go to plan. I’ve been through thick and thin; I’ve failed exams, failed assignments, tore my hair out trying to get high grades, I was told by someone that I should stop aiming so high because I can’t seem to reach those standards, my dream job bluntly told me that all the work I produced was highly unsatisfactory and they won’t be calling me back. All I can say is that I tried my hardest. Now, every single failure has turned into a success because my final goal remained a clear picture in my mind. Although I am still on my journey to achieve that goal, every single step backwards, brought me 2 steps forward.
So what if you fail? Whatever it is you may have failed, health and happiness come first. At a time of failure, it is important to analyse and reflect on your situation. Ask yourself the Who, What, When, Where, Why, and How. Once you’ve answered those questions, see where you went wrong and learn from your mistake. If whatever you’re currently doing isn’t what you want and what makes you happy, then that’s OK. Take a different path, try something new, and step out of your comfort zone. By all means, drop everything and use the little money you have to travel the world. You should be alive. There is a fine difference between living and being alive.
Whatever you failed at, it is not the end of the world. The sun always rises the next day, even if the day before was cloudy. There are many more opportunities out there. All you have to do is put fear and worry aside. Take time to find your purpose in life. Every single person on this planet exists for a reason, and every single person on this planet exists to make a teeny tiny difference within their little community, or even within the world. When you find your passion and purpose in life, don’t let anyone bring you down. When you have a dream to accomplish, don’t let anyone bring you down. And so what if you fail along the way? If you want it enough, and you do enough, then you will get there. Keep pushing, and don’t let one person or even your dream workplace tell you that you’re not good enough. So what if you fail? Make it a lesson, not a regret.
