On Wednesday April 9th a beautiful, sunny late summer day in Brisbane, we made our way to Noosa with friends. The Easter holiday gave students a chance to step away from reality and lay the assignments on the table. Though sometimes overlooked, there really is no better way to make friends and visit a place you never knew than by taking part in a Griffith Mates’ event.
After all that driving, you are bound to take a break. Famous for its premier artisan markets, the Eumundi market provides beautifully designed artworks, sculptures, furniture, handmade toys and clothes. As well as the creative things, you will find a whole bunch of cuisine from different countries and local fresh fruit and vegetables. Once your stomach is filled with delicious dishes, let’s leave the Eumundi market and head over to a very different part of town.
No trip to Noosa is complete without the beautiful deep blue ocean. Here you will see famed Noosa main beach. Jumping into the sea, having a nice cold drink on the beach, taking a stroll around the forest, playing beach volleyball, all these great options are ready to enjoy in Noosa.
Why don’t you build a bond with students from another campus? A great opportunity has been given to you here. By playing sports, you will realize that you can share the same feeling beyond the language and cultural differences.
Once I returned home, I finally gave in to my desire to fall into sleep with happy memories. Be sure to join in a Griffith Mates’ event before the end of semester and make the most of your campus (or off campus!) life.
