The COVID-19 has hit the world hard. But guess what? We can hit it harder!
It indeed is a tough time for the world and especially for university students who don’t know what to do, where to go and how to continue with their daily routines.
Well, I am so glad that I decided to stay in Australia instead of going back to my home country because I knew I could make the best of this experience and guess what? You can too!
There are actually heaps of things you can do while this lasts:
- Connect
Keep in touch with your family and friends via the internet!
- Cook
Learn to cook! It is therapeutic and you get to learn things too! The result might or might not be good but when you cook food yourself, there is a different kind of happiness in eating it!
- Read
Reading is a habit that should definitely be inculcated from an early age. Books have amazing benefits, like charging up your vocabulary, making you fluent in the language, plus you get time off of the screens too, so not much harm to your eyes!
- Puzzles
You can start doing puzzles like word searches, crosswords, sudokus, etc. which will sharpen your brain as well as help your eyes survive because too much screen time ain’t good mate!
- Exercise
Who said you couldn’t exercise while social distancing? Go for walks, if not, stretch at home, climb the stairs again and again, and search up some blogs and Instagram pages which are helping people exercise during this tough time.
- Learn a skill
I believe that this is a great time to do that thing that you’ve been putting off since forever now! Learn an instrument, or a language of your choice.
A lot of websites like coursera.com are also offering free courses during this difficult time which surely will teach you a lot!
- Study
Well, now since you are at home every day, might as well use this important time to study! Build up your CV, complete your assignments, finish those readings!
The way I see it, this phase is tough; but we are tougher!
