    Mpho’s story: arriving at Griffith University

    Last year I had the opportunity to work with the amazing Mpho, a South African student on an Australia Awards scholarship about to graduate from her Master of Public Health at our South Bank campus.

    We often hear all the wonderful stories about orientation and study at Griffith – and don’t get me wrong it is a great experience – but the reality is that the arriving in a new country for the very first time can be daunting and overwhelming.
