Exploring the stunning waterfalls on the Gold Coast

Alex Mijares Tallebudgera Valley Gold Coast Queensland Australia

When you’re itching to escape somewhere or planning an outdoor adventure with some friends, the Gold Coast will provide you with plenty of amazing options to explore. However, Gorge Falls probably won’t be the first that comes to mind due to the remote location and lack of information about this hidden treasure. But I promise you that if you visit this beautiful track and waterfalls, you’ll love it! Check out my video below to see it for yourself!

How to get there

To get to Gorge Falls you will need to drive to the end of Tallebudgera Creek Road, towards Tallebudgera Valley, where you can park next to the river. Then, walk through the gate and follow the track. You might stumble across private property – remember to be respectful. Once you get to the third main river crossing, follow the track directly upstream, following Tallebudgera Creek. Engage in some rock hoping for 20-30 minutes until reaching a fork, taking the left fork and walking for a couple of hundred metres to reach Gorge Falls.

At the waterfall, there’s a rope that lets you climb to the upper fall, but I only recommend you climb it if you are confident you can do it safely.

Don’t forget your swimwear, a towel, and remember to stay hydrated and eat lots of fruit!

Happy adventuring!
